Lights out for Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs has made an interesting choice. In order to attempt to close the giant gap in the budget they will begin turning off 1/3 of the streetlights in Colorado Springs. I noticed last night that not one of the lights in my neighborhood was off. I am going to go down south tonight to the poor neighborhoods and see how many lights are off down there.

I will keep you posted...

  1. the rich areas lights will remain on because they will complain about safety issues, whereas the poor areas are too busy hiding from the drugdealers, gangs and corrupt police that they wouldnt dare complain. that and the fact that the bad areas probably get the street lights busted out soon enough anyways.

You know, i once heard of an invention that you attach to your house , so when you drive you car to the garage, a light comes on.
Couldnt such a device get put on street poles. which wouldnt turn the light on that you drive under, but the next one up the road 20 feet also. No one on the roadway, no lights on.
